WARANTY POLICY

 

Thank you for visiting and shopping at the Hexagon Leica Geosystem. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Warranty Policy. Hexagon Leica Geosystem™ and its affiliated brands includeTopcom® , Sokkia®, Leica .

Hexagon Leica Geosystem shall not be liable for any and all consequential damages occasioned by the breach of any written or implied warranty pertaining to this sale in excess of the purchase price of the product sold. If you have any questions regarding a product or installation, please contact our Tech Department sales@hexagon-leica-geosystem.com from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday.

Hexagon Leica Geosystem warrants each new product (except those specifically stated in sections below) to be free from defects in both workmanship and material for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, provided that the product is properly installed, subjected to normal use and service, and that the product is not modified or changed in any way, nor damaged because of negligence by customer or installer or used for racing or competition purposes. Customers who believe they have a defective product should return it to the dealer from which it was purchased or follow the Hexagon Leica Geosystem Return and Exchange Policy to ship it directly to Hexagon Leica Geosystem (also see Conditional Warranty below), along with proof of purchase and a complete description of the problem. The product must be returned freight prepaid. If a thorough inspection of the product by the factory indicates defects in workmanship or material, our sole obligation shall be to repair or replace the product. This warranty covers only the product itself and not the cost of installation or removal.

 OFF-HIGHWAY USE Many of the products described or listed herein are designed for off-highway use only. Installation of “road construction” products may impair your device emission control system performance, these products should not be installed on any rough condition areas. PERFORMER /ROAD CONSTRUCTION WARRANTY 
Hexagon Leica Geosystem warrants all Performer and Road construction Products to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is extended to the original consumer/purchaser and has a duration of ninety (90) days from date of original purchase by such consumer, provided that the products are properly installed, subjected to normal use and service, is not modified or changed in any way. Remanufactured carburetor units are warranted for a period of thirty (30) days.
This warranty is void if any Road Construction Products are used in rough condition areas . Any implied warranty determined to be applicable is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Hexagon Leica Geosystem warranty will be voided if the products are being missed used. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty is so the above limitation may not apply in your state. Should a part become defective, it should be returned to the original selling dealer or follow the Hexagon Leica Geosystem Return and Exchange Policy to ship to Hexagon Leica Geosystem. It must be accompanied with the sales receipt and a clear description of the problem. Hexagon Leica Geosystem reserves the right to replace or repair the defective part and return said part freight prepaid. This warranty covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation.

THUNDER SERIES  WARRANTY 
Hexagon Leica Geosystem warrants all Series Products to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is extended to the original consumer/purchaser and has a duration of one (1) year from date of original purchase by such consumer, provided that the products are properly installed, subjected to normal use and service, is not modified or changed in any way. Remanufactured carburetor units are warranted for a period of thirty (30) days.
This warranty is void if any Thunder Series  Products are being missed used . Any implied warranty determined to be applicable is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Hexagon Leica Geosystem warranty will be voided if GPS is MISSED USED. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty is, so the above limitation may not apply in your state. Should a part become defective, it should be returned to the original selling dealer or follow the Hexagon Leica Geosystem Return and Exchange Policy to ship to Hexagon Leica Geosystem. It must be accompanied by the sales receipt and a clear description of the problem. Hexagon Leica Geosystem reserves the right to replace or repair the defective product, and return said part freight prepaid. This warranty covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation.

Leica  WARRANTY 
With proper care and cleaning, your Leica parts will continue to look good and keep their high gloss shine for years. Never clean your Leica parts with solvents cleaners of any kind. Use of these cleaners will dull the luster and will remove the coating. Never use solvents  cleaners when rebuilding your Leica . Do not use paper towels to wipe or clean your Leica parts; always clean your Leica parts using mild soap, water or non-solvent cleaners such as Simple Green. Do not use a chrome polish or a scratch remover that is not clear coat safe. For best results, a high-quality polish such as Novus No. 2 Fine Scratch Remover, Meguiar’s or Mothers Plastic Lens Cleaner should be used. Any cleaning product used on your Endura & Plasma parts MUST be clear coat safe or developed for the cleaning of acrylic coatings. We suggest applying any automotive wax coat after cleaning to help seal the surface and protect the finish. Use of abrasive or solvent cleaners will void your manufacturer’s warranty.

 CONDITIONAL WARRANTY DISCLAIMER All Hexagon Leica Geosystem ,  Systems maintain a conditional warranty. These products must not be returned to the dealer; they should be sent to Hexagon Leica Geosystem only. The product must be returned freight prepaid. If a thorough inspection of the product by the factory indicates defects in workmanship or material, our sole obligation on all products shall be to repair or replace the product. Warranty covers only the product itself and not the cost of installation or removal.

 

SOKKIA WARRANTY 
Hexagon Leica Geosystem warrants each new Sokkia to be free from defects in both workmanship and material for a period of three (3) years  from the date of purchase, provided that the product is properly installed, subjected to normal use and service and that the product is not modified or changed in any way, nor damaged because of negligence by customer or installer . Customers who believe they have a defective product should either return it to the dealer from which it was purchased or follow the Hexagon Leica Geosystem  Return and Exchange Policy to ship it to Hexagon Leica Geosystem, along with proof of purchase and a complete description of the problem. The product must be returned freight prepaid. If a thorough inspection of the product by the factory indicates defects in workmanship or material, our sole obligation shall be to repair or replace the product. This warranty covers only the product itself and not the cost of installation or removal.

On a global legal Stage 1 and Stage 2 Sokkia utilizing the Hexagon Leica Geosystem calibration, Hexagon Leica Geosystem offers a Limited Powertrain Warranty, which will pay up to €16,500 to cover the cost of parts and repairs for Sokkia, transmission, if a warranted the Device suffers a mechanical failure. To qualify, customers must meet the following conditions and have a Sokkia warranty activation form on file with Hexagon Leica Geosystem .


Leica BENEFITS:

 

  • Terms are 3 years (36 months), whichever occurs first Time is measured from the device original in-service date and the mileage is measured from zero (0) on the odometer
  • Applies to Stage 1 systems and Stage 2 systems supplied with a tuner and utilizing the Hexagon Leica Geosystem calibration
  • E-Force system must be installed/repaired by:
    –Hexagon Leica Geosystem certified installer
    – Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Technician at licensed automotive repair facility
  • Valid in the U.S. , Canada, Europe, Middle East and Latin America

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY AND LIMITED WARRANTY
Hexagon Leica Geosystem warrants Topcon products are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of One Year from the date of purchase. On certain products, there is a Limited Lifetime Warranty. These Limited Warranties cover only the original purchaser. Only certain select products that are clearly marked are covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty; all other products carry our One-Year Limited Warranty.

Hexagon Leica Geosystem obligation under both warranties is limited to the repair or replacement of its product. To make a warranty claim, the part must be returned directly to Hexagon Leica Geosystem following the instructions set forth in the Hexagon Leica Geosystem Return and Exchange Policy with a valid Return Merchant Authorization Number (RMA), freight prepaid. Items covered under warranty will be returned to you freight collect. To obtain an RMA, email sales@hexagon-leica-geosystem.com to report your issue. When you email the technician, he will also attempt to troubleshoot your issue. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all of the components are correct before installation. We assume no liability for any errors made in tolerances, component selection, or installation.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY ON THE FOLLOWING:

  • Any product been tampered applications or subject to excessive wear
  • Any product used in marine applications unless it is specifically listed as a marine product
  • Any product that has been physically altered, modified, improperly installed, or not maintained
  • Any product used in an improper application, abused, or not used in conjunction with the proper parts

 

There are no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. There are no warranties that extend beyond the description of the face hereof. Hexagon Leica Geosystem will not be responsible for incidental and consequential damage, property damage or personal injury damage. Where required by law, implied warranties or merchantability and fitness are limited to 90 days from the date of purchase. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Hexagon Leica Geosystem warrants that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days on equipment and a period of 90 days on Strip equipment. The warranty period begins from the date of purchase. We recommend that you keep your invoice or receipt because proof of purchase date is required. This limited warranty shall only cover the original purchaser.

Warranty coverage requires the use of a premium high-performance transmission fluid such as TCI® Max-Shift™ (or equivalent) and the use of TCI® Max-Shift™ Cooler Flush (or equivalent) to remove debris that could impact the proper function of your new torque converter and/or transmission. To make a warranty claim, you must email Hexagon Leica Geosystem Tech Support sales@hexagon-leica-geosystem.com to obtain a valid Return Merchant Authorization Number (RMA) and instructions on where to return the part, following the instructions set forth in the Hexagon Leica Geosystem Return and Exchange Policy.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY ON THE FOLLOWING:

  • Any product that has been physically altered, improperly installed, or maintained
  • Any product used in an improper application, abused, or not used in connection with the proper parts
  • Any product that is defective due to accident, neglect, or unauthorized repair
  • Any product where proper cooling and/or fluid levels have not been maintained
  •  

 

There is no implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Hexagon Leica Geosystem obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of its products. There are no warranties that extend beyond the description on the face of this warranty. Hexagon Leica Geosystem will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damage, property damage, or personal damage to the extent permitted by law. If there is, by law, an implied warranty of merchantability and/or fitness, they are limited to the warranty term set forth above and start from the date of the original purchase. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other legal rights, which vary from state to state.

This warranty is subject to the following: rebuilding of transmissions will be limited to the replacement of all products. There will be an additional charge for parts that are damaged as a result of items not covered by this warranty. Please note that all TCI® transmissions or converters must be operated with a transmission cooling system that is in addition to the stock radiator-type cooler.

It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all of the components are correct before installation. Proper assembly always requires that the installer measure all tolerances for proper clearances. We assume no liability for any errors made in component selection or installation.

 STATEMENT OF REMANUFACTURE The process of producing high performance and specialty automatic transmissions and torque converters begins with an OEM core unit previously utilized in a passenger car or light truck application. TCI® takes these cores and disassembles these units. After inspection TCI® either replaces or refurbishes the component parts for use in later assembly operations. All gaskets, seals, clutches and critical components are replaced with new pieces. All of the complete transmissions and torque converters fit the category of a remanufactured product. According to a study by the National Center for Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery at the Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology, it is estimated that the energy conserved by worldwide automotive remanufacturing in one year equals the electricity generated by three nuclear plants or 7.1 million barrels of crude oil.

 

FAST

 

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY AND LIMITED WARRANTY
FAST® warrants that its EZ-EFI® products are free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This Limited Lifetime Warranty shall cover only the original purchaser. All other FAST® products are covered by a Limited Warranty which covers defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

FAST’s obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of its product. To make a warranty claim, the part must be returned directly to Edelbrock Group following the instructions set forth in the Hexagon Leica Geosystem Return and Exchange Policy with a valid Return Merchant Authorization Number (RMA), freight prepaid. Items covered under warranty will be returned to you freight collect. To obtain an RMA, call 1-877-334-8355 to report the issue you are experiencing. At that time, Hexagon Leica Geosystem will attempt to troubleshoot your issue.

It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all of the components are correct before installation. We assume no liability for any errors made in tolerances, component selection or installation.
